MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER

I created Rieka with one desire in mind: to create a brand that would include the community & support our artists & citizens.

Ever since I created Louve in 2009, I’ve been on a quest to address a gap in the market. I believe in transparency and in making clothes that respect the planet, the people and animals.

The fashion industry is one of the most important sources of waste in our world, and I want Louve & Rieka to help change that. What you won’t find here are seasonal collection drops. We want to make inclusive timeless fashion that is fairly priced & unique.

We make clothes in small batches, based on the most ethical materials we find, or dead stock & we always will be transparent about  our production.

We always strive to bring back best sellers, but sometimes we’ll only have access to a small quantity of the right material. We also care about who we buy materials from. We aim local when possible. Otherwise it is sustainable. 

This is the human side of us. We care about things like fair wages and respect & help our collaborators to thrive & achieve their full potential. We also give back to our community and you’ll find several examples of our what that looks like on this page.
